Matt Wilkins has worked on 7 seasons of the Emmy nominated A&E show “HOARDERS” as a Field Producer and Writer, was a Writer for Discovery Science‘s “INGENIOUS MINDS,” a Senior Story Producer on TLC’s “INSIDE HOMICIDE,” a Producer/Shooter on TLC's ”MY 600 POUND LIFE,” a Writer for DIY‘s “KITCHEN CRASHERS” and “YARD CRASHERS,” and a Story Producer on History’s “MOUNTAIN MEN.”
Hoarders
For A&E
I’ve Field Produced 48 hoards and Story Produced another 30, so I’ve got extensive experience leading complex productions, interviewing all sorts of people, integrating talent with subjects, directing cameras, shooting B-roll, finding the story on the fly and covering the action with OTF’s, and then coming back to the office to string-out the story in Avid.
Here are links to a few of the shows that I've worked on.
My favorite hoard has to be Kevin in NYC. Shooting on the Upper East Side of Manhattan while trying to clear out a dense hoard from an old building with no elevator was one of the biggest challenges we faced. Kevin had filled up his apartment so tightly that his front door wouldn’t open and our only access was to use the fire escape, climb up 4 floors and then go through his window.
I was the Story Producer for the pilot, and then the Senior Story Producer/Supervising Producer for series one.
Ingenious Minds
For Discovery Science
I was a writer on these episodes 2, 6, and 8 of “Ingenius Minds” for Discovery Science.
